Every person in the United States is protected by our Constitution.  Under the Sixth Amendment of our Constitution, “In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district where in the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.” 

Criminal LawTo be charged with a criminal offense, there must be Reasonable Suspicion to suspect someone of committing the offense and Probable Cause to charge that person with the offense.  To be convicted, the proof MUST be Beyond a Reasonable Doubt.  We have handled hundreds of criminal matters and travel the courts of the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula on an almost daily basis defending our clients.
